ការ Trade ពេលមាន News Event
You have learned to read economic news, you know NFP, CPI, and rate decisions, and you understand Risk-On/Risk-Off. Now the question every trader asks: how should you actually trade around news? The honest truth first: trading in the seconds of a release is where most retail traders lose money — wide spreads, slippage, and whipsaws eat nearly all the edge. This advanced lesson presents three realistic approaches, the risk management each one requires, and why most \"fast\" methods fail.
Before learning any method, understand why entering in the seconds of a release almost never works for retail traders:
The simplest approach, and the right one for most traders: do not trade around news at all — use the news calendar as a shield, not a sword.
This approach captures the benefit of news without suffering the worst execution: wait for the market to digest the information, then join the confirmed direction. The logic: big news surprises create moves that extend for hours or days — you do not need to catch the first 15 minutes to profit from them.
To fade means to trade against the initial move — on the reasoning that emotional spikes often overshoot and retrace. It works best when: (1) the surprise was small but the move was disproportionately large, (2) the event is a one-off that does not change the bigger fundamental picture, or (3) the move slams into a major technical level. It demands serious judgment and experience — fading a move that has a genuine reason behind it (a truly big surprise) is like standing in front of a train.
